The author, in my opinion decided to stay "True to form" because it gives the book a realistic vibe. (If I'm understanding what that question meant.) I feel like the form she used was like this (diary form) because it would allow the reader to actually feel as if he/she were reading an actual journal of a teenage girl. So far I think this girl is unsatisfied with her life. She talks about the books she's read and how she doesn't know if she's herself, or someone that she's read about. So I feel like she's already on a road to destruction because she's trying to be too many people.
